Infoshare+ welcomes 3C and Infoboss

We’re pleased to welcome 3C Consultants to Infoshare+, a specialist in helping social housing providers and councils across the UK and Ireland manage and trust their data. As part of the deal, we have also acquired Infoboss, the technology partner that owns the software behind 3C’s data platform. Together they are the tenth and eleventh companies to join the Infoshare+ platform.
Founded in 2015, 3C Consultants works with housing associations, councils and care organisations across the UK and Ireland to help them keep their data accurate, well managed and ready to rely on. At the centre of its work is 3C Data Logic, a platform that pulls information together from the many systems a housing provider runs, from housing management to finance and asset records, into one consistent and trustworthy view. It checks that data for quality, flags gaps and errors, and keeps it monitored over time, so the people making decisions can be confident the numbers behind them are sound. Alongside the software, 3C’s consultants help organisations build the skills and processes to keep their data in good shape for the long term.
3C Data Logic is built on software owned and developed by Infoboss, the technology company acquired alongside 3C. The same technology brings a broad set of data capabilities into Infoshare+:
- Data quality: finding, fixing and then monitoring errors and duplicates, so information stays reliable rather than slipping back over time.
- Data compliance: locating personal data across an organisation’s systems and helping it meet data protection law, including responding to information requests from the public.
- Search and discovery: making it quick to find the right information across both structured and unstructured sources, such as databases, documents and emails.
- Cloud migration: moving data onto modern, secure cloud systems and retiring old platforms.
- Data cataloguing: building a single, searchable record of what data an organisation holds, what it means and where it comes from, through a tool Infoboss calls the Data Wiki.
The same groundwork also helps organisations prepare their data for artificial intelligence and analytics, both of which depend on data being accurate and well organised.
This has become a priority in social housing. Since the Social Housing (Regulation) Act 2023, providers face closer scrutiny of how they manage information about their homes and tenants. Two ideas sit behind that work. The first is the ‘Golden Thread’, the principle that key records, such as the information behind a building’s safety, should be accurate, accessible and kept up to date throughout the building’s life. The second is a ‘Single Version of the Truth’, meaning one trusted set of data that everyone works from rather than conflicting records spread across systems. 3C helps providers deliver both.
For Infoshare+, 3C strengthens our Housing & Asset Management vertical, adding data governance, the work of keeping information accurate, secure and well managed, to what we already offer housing providers. Good decisions in housing rest on good data, from planning repairs and managing assets to reporting to the regulator, and this gives our customers a firmer foundation to build on. The 3C and Infoboss teams join Infoshare+ and will continue to support their existing customers, while working with the wider team to bring these capabilities to more of the sector.
“Joining Infoshare+ represents an exciting and carefully considered opportunity for 3C Consultants. Infoshare+’s proven track record of valuing and supporting the people within the businesses it acquires aligns strongly with our own culture and commitment to our team. Our focus has always been on helping public sector organisations manage and govern their data effectively in an increasingly complex regulatory environment. Being part of Infoshare+ enables us to scale our impact, connecting with and supporting Infoshare+’s client base of more than 400 social housing sector clients with our critical data management solutions.”
Colin Sales – CEO and Co-Founder, 3C Consultants
“Data sits at the heart of everything we do at Infoshare+. The addition of 3C Consultants significantly extends our data capabilities within our housing and asset management vertical. 3C’s focus on delivering the ‘Golden Thread’ aligns with our strategy of acquiring integrated software solutions that support better outcomes across the public sector. It is yet another clear demonstration of our ability to identify and execute high-quality acquisitions that further the Infoshare+ vision.”
