New product launch: Navigator – capital works and energy planning in one live environment

Infoshare+ has launched Navigator, bringing capital investment programmes and energy improvement plans into a single planning environment, so social housing teams can coordinate, plan and report on every investment decision with confidence.
Infoshare+ has launched Navigator, a planning tool built for social housing providers managing capital works and energy investment across their stock.
For most housing providers, capital works and energy improvements are planned as separate programmes, run by different teams on different systems and timescales. The gaps between them carry a real cost. Scaffolding goes up for a roof, comes down, then returns months later for windows at the same property. The same heat-loss problem gets funded twice, once from capital and once from energy modelling, because neither team can see the other’s plan. Boiler replacements are scheduled without anyone asking whether an air source heat pump is the right answer for the net zero target. And when the regulator asks for a Band C trajectory, pulling the answer together takes days rather than seconds.
Navigator is built to close those gaps. It gives teams a single, live environment where capital works and energy improvements are planned, sequenced and monitored together, with immediate visibility of the compliance and financial implications of every decision. Across the platform, Navigator already manages £149M of investment in a single environment, drawing on more than 40 years of energy calculation expertise.
Within one view, teams can see all planned capital works and energy measures across the whole stock, year by year, with annual spend totals always in front of them. Moving a measure to a different year instantly recalculates projected SAP ratings, carbon output and fuel cost implications, so the impact of a decision is clear before it is committed. A compliance dashboard tracks stock-level progress against EPC and net zero targets, ready for a board paper or a regulatory submission at any moment, and every change is logged with a timestamp and user record for a defensible audit trail.
Built to work with the data you already hold Navigator is the latest addition to the Infoshare+ platform of solutions for social housing and complements the organisation’s existing Energy Analytics (Sava Intelligent Energy) and Integration solutions (Universal Adapter). For existing Intelligent Energy customers, the energy performance data they already hold powers Navigator from day one. SAP ratings, improvement models and energy measures feed straight in, with no additional RdSAP surveys or data collection required. Capital works programmes are imported during onboarding, giving teams a fully populated, live planning environment in a matter of days rather than months.
Samuel Lott, Product Owner for Navigator at Infoshare+, said:
“Housing teams are being asked to hit demanding net zero and compliance targets while planning their capital and energy works in separate places. Navigator gives them one environment where those decisions are made together. To take it from concept to a product that customers are actively using inside six months, and see the difference it is already making, has been hugely rewarding for the whole team.”
That value is already being felt by early adopters. A programme lead at one housing provider using Navigator said:
“Although I am still in the early stages of using Navigator, I can already see clear benefits in how it supports our work. The ability to model and review outcomes at a desktop level, based on both current projects and upcoming site evaluations, gives a much clearer indication of potential performance and helps inform decision-making before we commit to works on site. I have also found it very intuitive when adding and removing measures, which makes it easy to test different scenarios quickly. Overall, it is shaping up to be a very practical tool for improving planning, consistency and confidence in our proposed interventions.”
Steve Thorn, Executive Chair of Infoshare+, said:
“Navigator is an important step in building our platform of solutions for the social housing sector. Our aim is to give providers a connected set of tools that work together, from energy analytics through to investment planning. Bringing the capital and energy programmes into a single, live view is exactly the joined-up thinking the sector needs as it works towards its net zero and compliance commitments, and I am proud of what the team has delivered.”
